I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Epic in Oct 2024
Interview
Started with the Rembrandt personality test and a phone screen where we just walked through my interview and why I was interested in the job.
Next week I got an invitation to complete the online skill assessment. Took me about 2.5 hours and included a grammar section, basic math, pattern recognition, and logic problems (more like riddles). In the last section they teach you a coding language, show you an example, and then ask a question that's harder than the example. I've never coded before but they give you all the info you need to answer the questions.
A couple of days later I got an invite to a virtual final interview. It was about 2.5 hours again. The first hour you're in a group and watch a presentation about Epic, the benefits you get, and a software demonstration. Then you have a one on one meeting with someone who does the job you're interviewing for, followed by an interview with someone else in that department, then an interview with an HR person.
Overall it's not a very hard process, it's just tiring because it lasts a long time.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time you made something more efficient. What's the most interesting thing you've done or made? How do you give feedback? How do you respond to constructive criticism? Tell me about two times you showed initiative. Are you detail-oriented or big picture? Has there ever been a time you've been too detail oriented? When do you feel most confident? When do you feel least confident? You're in a meeting and one of your teammates hasn't made any contributions, what do you do? You're in a group with assigned tasks and one of your teammates isn't completing their tasks, what do you do?
