I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Electroimpact (Mukilteo, WA) in Jan 2017
Interview
Applied online and was given a test. Completed the online test (simple engineering basics) and was given an interview date. Came in to find that there were 7 of us being interviewed. went through 3 interviewers, the second being a technical interview. The first and last one were resume question interviews. At one point I was told my masters degree in mechanical engineering "is not valued at electroimpact and we do not usually hire masters students". At that point I was less than pleased, apparently being over qualified is a thing. They ended up offering a laughably low salary which I then turned down.

Question 1
need to know shear in pins, FOS concept, conservation of momentum for a lifting problem, and volumetric flow rate equation. Pretty straight forward.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Electroimpact
Interview
Started with an online test. After passing that, I had 2 1:1’s with staff and a whiteboard test. Afterwards there was a phone interview with the president who asked if I could start the following Monday.

Question 1
It wasn’t a formal interview. I walked around with 2 engineers and just had a conversation. We would discuss practical solutions to things on the shop floor. It was great how informal that part of the process was.

Interview
Arrived expecting to meet Peter, the CEO. He was out sick, I wonder what with.. Peter had told me I already had the job before I showed up and he was making sure that I wanted to work there. I was handed off to an engineer who reviewed my online aptitude test which I had scored a 58/90 on. Turns out some of my answers were wrong because I missed a 2 here or forgot to carry there. They mainly want to make sure you understand the fundamentals of the problems moreso than your math work. I was lead around the factory by another engineer to show off the equipment. Then handed off to a senior engineer, Ben, to tell me about the company history and talk about project experience in university. I was handed a benefits information sheet and told I could leave if I had no more questions. This all took about 2.5 hours.

Interview
Started with an exam and after that a phone screening to set up a video call interview. Pretty standard technical questions asked such as pressure, loading, and bolts and then some questions about my resume.
