I saw their job post on LinkedIn and applied by email. The interviewer emailed back, asking for a virtual interview.
I shared what I could share for my portfolio but she asked for the other purposely locked pages so I shared but I thought that was rude.
And she sent a Teams meeting link which is pretty insensitive because a lot of companies now use Microsoft Teams software so it gets linked to the current company account, which is a hassle to disconnect and make another personal account, just to accommodate the interview.
And the interviewer didn't even turn on her camera. The whole time she didn't care to explain why her camera was off.
It was awkward and unprofessional. It was not a fair interview. She asked a lot of questions about my work and my current company - which I felt like she was just collecting information from me.
I wasn't feeling like I was getting anything out of the interview and felt very undermined.
I stayed calm and professional and kept it sweet but I'm glad I don't need to work with her. She gave off a huge red-flag.
