Initially, a talent representative contacted me on LinkedIn expressing interest for my extensive background and achievements in product management, stating that my skills and experience appeared to align seamlessly with their requirements for a Senior Product Manager. Surprisingly, the following day, another representative conducted a thorough 45-minute discussion, highlighting how well my background aligned with the role. However, the conversation ended as it was revealed that my lack of domain experience in manufacturing, a desirable qualification, was apparently an eliminating factor. Given the extended duration the role has remained open, it seems they have yet to find a candidate meeting ALL their desirable criteria.
