The interview was a very simple process, and they gave a full rundown of the company and the position I was interviewing for. However, I was pretty disappointed that the CMO who interviewed me didn’t really make the effort to know me as a candidate as it was very obvious she just skimmed my resume as she missed important dates listed such as the year I graduated (I graduated in 2023 and she somehow thought I graduated this year), and she assumed all the work experience I had listed were internships even though one out of the four positions I had listed was an internship, and I stated that my most recent role was a full time job. I didn’t realize that she had a complete misunderstanding of my experience and skill level until towards the end of the interview when she had stated “since this would be your first real job if hired”, and I had to correct her that I have had 3 full time jobs already. Additionally I was ghosted after interviewing. I understand hiring managers don’t read resumes to a tee, but the only way she could’ve missed that much important information regarding my experience is if she didn’t actually read my resume and only took a glance at it. Additionally, the CMO seemed to be bored of me referencing examples from my most recent role in response to the questions I was being asked as I was asked to find examples outside of that position, despite the fact that it’s the position I held the longest and gained the most experience in.
