I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Dimension Design (Glenview, IL) in Nov 2016
Interview
Very simple and straightforward. Short pre-interview via phone and then an in-person meeting with the department head and members of the department. Very laid back and easy to do well at.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Dimension Design (Glenview, IL) in Jul 2019
Interview
I received one phone interview that lasted about 40 minutes. This led to an interview in person.
Interviewing with 5 people for 2 1/2 hours I thought to myself that things were looking up for a potential second interview and a possible offer.
I waited for over two weeks before contacting HR. Their response was the company was moving in another direction. Usually this means they could have an internal candidate (I could accept this) or found an acceptable candidate through the interview process.
A couple of weeks later they have the Robert Half Company looking for a person to fill this position. Why waste time interviewing people. Also, inform the candidates you bring in for an interview that they are out of the running. Talk about lack of follow up. Wow. Disappointing, they did me a favor. Thank you no thank you.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Dimension Design (Las Vegas, NV) in Apr 2017
Interview
Staffing Co said the manager was nice. I went down immediately for an interview and seeing test. Nice place. The manager was nice, but came to find out it’s a complete act. Interviewed, tested, was told they didn’t have work immediately but she’d be in touch. She called a few days later but I had already taken another temp job. When that job was done, the staff lady called again and I started working at DD.

Question 1
Sometimes it’s very slow, and sometimes it’s really busy. Are you okay with having some weeks where it won’t be full-time?
