I applied online. I interviewed at Dementia UK (London, England) in Nov 2024
Interview
There was a first stage interview that was online, with a panel of 3. Typical competency-based questions were asked. I did need to share my screen at one point, to reference a particular project from my portfolio. Then there was a second-stage, in-person interview at their offices in London. I just found that for a purpose-driven organisation, the atmosphere didn't reflect this. It felt very corporate and quite cold. Very serious expressions on people's faces, to the point where I wasn't sure whether they wanted to be there! The offices were grey and lacked inspiration. Very different experience to a charity environment I had previously worked in, which was a lot warmer, upbeat and inspirational.
Really friendly interviewees. Asked questions on why Dementia UK and some more specific questions focusing on partnerships experience. They are an expanding team so there is a lot of opportunity.
