Relatively long process lasting aproximately a month. Applied online, was offered a first-round after two weeks. Was immediately invited to a Superday at the NYC office after finishing my first-round. Very nice people and responsive HR. Looking for very specific type of people that make their fit. No finance background required, although statistical thinking is necessary.

Qualitative interview which had the aim of getting to know how I think more than anything. Asked questions about my resume and proceeded to ask about line-items with more detail. Apart from this asked: why DE shaw, whats your biggest regret, etc...
