      Editorial Associate Interview

      20 Sept 2014
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Cognella

      Interview

I interviewed twice for an Editorial Assistant position. The first interview was great—I met with the people I would be working with directly and we got along well. About a month later I interviewed again, but with a manager and the CEO. This interview was much less enjoyable. From our conversation, I gathered that the CEO only wants to hire people similar to himself. He made me role play and asked many hypothetical questions (apparently learning on the job isn't good enough). Afterwards, I had absolutely no desire to work in the Cognella environment.
