I applied online. I interviewed at California Institute of Applied Technology (San Diego, CA) in May 2026
Interview
30 minute phone screen, mostly them asking you questions to see if you are a good fit and if you would still like to move forward. Then they explain how the next interview will be a panel and you doing a demo instruction. If they offer I will accept. Just have to wait for the next two interviews.
I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at California Institute of Applied Technology (Los Angeles, CA) in Apr 2026
Interview
Email comes first, followed by a roughly thirty-minute online phone interview. During that interview, candidates are asked a range of questions covering their experience, availability, teaching approach, and overall fit for the position.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at California Institute of Applied Technology
Interview
First interview is a 30 minute call with the 1 recruiter this company has. Second interview is a panel with multiple hiring managers. Third interview is with a SVP and some sort of management. Of the 2 hours spent with this group of people it was very apparent that turnover is HIGH. Only few people had been in role more than 1 year….definitely a red flag. They also mentioned having been looking to fill roles since March and having some teams with up to 3 open requisitions. There were multiple teams hiring. Pay is way below average..about $51,000 a year for California. They made changes to my final interview in terms of scheduling and it overall wasn’t pleasant. I interviewed with Loida and Kirsten that time and it was very redundant compared to the 2nd interview. Just talked about metrics like outbound calls again and customer experience but with 30 min instead of an hour. I would definitely recommend the 2nd interview be 30 minutes and the final be 1 hour because it seems the final weighs heavier in terms of influence. Final interviewers were not really personable, didn’t ask any questions to showcase interest in the actual candidate. After 3 interviews I did receive a generic email and when I asked for feedback I was also provided with a generic response. Overall I don’t recommend. It’s like a call center role but from home…
