I was interviewed by HR on the phone and then by 2 higher level members of staff on a zoom call. One was a vendor and the other in-house at the director/VP level. Interview was standard question and answer stuff, a values discussion. It was quite enjoyable and had a good vibe. All in all, I felt I gave a solid interview for what the ad & conversations led me to believe was a full-time, permanent position.
Spoke with HR the next week and was told in not so many words that they would not be moving forward with me. Disappointing, but it happens.
The next week HR called to offer me a temporary, HOURLY, contract position "while they looked for the right fit".
