I applied online. I interviewed at CALPIRG (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2017
Interview
It was very casual. CALPIRG encourages entry-level applicants. Don't worry if you think you don't have the skills, they are eager to train you. Mostly they are looking for people who want to learn and take on challenges. Also, examples of how you have displayed leadership and organizing skills. It's a plus of you have social media marketing experience, and experience doing research and writing reports (which you learned in high school or college). You need enthusiasm to make a difference for the common good.

Question 1
Can you give us specific examples of your leadership and organizing experience?
It was very easy and quick. Simple questions about why you want the job, leadership experience, and working on a team to reach a goal. There weren’t many questions at all.

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at CALPIRG (Los Angeles, CA)
Interview
1st round interview with a campus organizer for my UC, then 2nd round interview with someone with the local office, then 3rd round interview with the state director at that same office. Was able to do in person interviews for first and third round and over the phone for second round. About 2 weeks between each interview.
