Interview
The hiring process was simple and relatively straight-forward. It consisted of an application that was completed in the reception area and an interview that was set up in a call after the application was processed. A resume was not required, but was submitted in addition to the application. The interview lasted approximately 45 minute total including the typing skills test that was administered following the Q and A section. The interview was conducted by the office manager and the area supervisor for the prior authorization department. It was short with no surprise or extremely difficult questions. It revolved around prior experience and skills such as customer service, articulate and polite speech, and data entry as qualifications for the position. Formal certifications and education would have definitely been a benefit, but were by no means required. Immediately following the interview, the job offer was extended and accepted.
