I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Build-A-Bear (Windsor, ON) in May 2013
Interview
Applied online. Called me and had a 10 minute phone interview - no preparation so be prepared when you apply. She then scheduled an interview. It was a group interview. She divided us into groups and each group got a different station in the store. We had to act out different scenarios (we made the scenarios ourselves). the two managers walked around and watched us. they periodically asked us questions. they asked specific questions to specific people by looking at their resumes. They then told us about the job. She asked some of us to stay behind because they had questions about our contact information but really we were the people who "moved on" in the process. We filled out booklets with questions about our personality and what we would do in certain situations - common sense. they then told us they would call us to schedule a second interview if we passed this portion. they mentioned that they hiring process is very long - usually around a month. I did get a call but didnt get the job because I would only be there for a summer before I went back to school. I was 19 years old, the other people who applied were either my age or in high school. none of the high school kids got called back but you could tell they werent very mature during the interview process.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Build-A-Bear in Jul 2011
Interview
I heard back from Babw very quickly and we proceeded with the interview later that week. The interview was with HR first, then department manager, and then I had to take a ridiculous test about if I would steal or do drugs at the work place. I understand the necessity of the test but it is amazing that anyone could not understand which questions are meant to find out if you are a criminal.
