I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Blockchain (London, England) in Aug 2018
Interview
~ Application Online via Website
~ Email Invitation for On-Site Interview
~ 3 Rounds of Interviews, 20 minutes each various members of the team (3 Applicants were on-site at the same time)
~ Project via Email, 4 Questions to Answer as if you were already working for Blockchain
~ Final Decision/Offer
Very patronising and negative experience, I would rate as one of the worst interview experiences I have ever participated in. I applied thinking it would be a single hire role, however, the team is trying to recruit 30+ people to do the same job.
I never received a screening call from the internal recruiter (I wish I did because I would have never accepted the onsite if I knew it was a multi-hire role, being more experienced, this role is better suited for fresh graduates as the role is very repetitive and mundane).
During the on-site: Each rotation was 20 minutes long, which created very shallow conversations and by the end of each round, I personally didn't find any interest in working with the team.
I was taken back by the lack of respect and empathy I was given by the hiring manager, their questions were very offensive and patronising. At first, I took it as a challenge for being pressured on the spot and tested on how I would react - however, their questions just came off as judgemental towards my character.
