      Interview

This is specifically my experience and thoughts on the interview process and has nothing to do with the quality of the company's product or services. Three 30 minute meetings, first with internal recruiter then with hiring manager, and finally with hiring manager's counterpart. Nothing of much substance asked or discussed. Feel like they were going through the motions. Sent a thank you to all three after each meeting and then followed up with both the internal recruiter and hiring manger when I hadn't heard back on next steps. Had to follow up a second time on next steps to get a meeting with recruiter so they could tell me that "although your resume is impressive, we went with a more qualified candidate. I reached out to the hiring manager for help to get feedback to understand what I was missing to potentially be considered for the next opening and there was no response. I should have just accepted that it wasn't necessarily another candidate that they wanted. Especially when the job opening remained open and has since been reposted. Yes, I did follow up on the opening again, and nothing. I know, take the hint. I'm sure that these are all good people doing their best, but as we all know, job searching is a very time consuming and at times frustrating process. So my unsolicited advice to anyone involved in the interview process is to treat people the way you would want to be treated.

      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Bitsight in Sept 2025

      Interview

Phone screening and interview with talent acquisition manager. Apparently he forwarded my profile to the hiring manager and told me that he would come back to me in the next 48h regarding potential next steps. Despite sending a follow-up and a thank-you email, I never heard back from him. I recognize that not every opportunity will be the right match, but maintaining communication reflects professionalism and respect for candidates’ time.

      Interview

There wasn't much of a hiring process and I think it is a very sad thing given how big the company is. I had 1 initial call and was told that they would reach out. This happened in January and they are still reaching out :D One thing that I suggest when you do hiring is to not ghost people, I don't care how many people are in your pipeline, that's not how you treat people, end of the story. And next time go with a budget when speaking to a candidate. Because I was asked for salary expectations and then was told there are better qualified people that would be for that budget. If there are better candidates, reject the people who aren't qualified and don't waste their time. Wouldn't recommend it.

Thank you for sharing your experience and I apologize it was not a good one. During the time of these interviews in January, we had to make some changes with the structure of the recruiting team and it looks like we missed circling back with you. As the head of recruitment, it is a requirement for the recruiters to give feedback to every single candidate in the interview process. Seeing that this did not happen, I am truly sorry and hope you would be willing to speak with me directly. You can reach me at chrissy.joseph@bitsight.com. For what its worth, we never get reviews like this so I would be grateful to have the chance to reconnect with you. Thank you again for your comment!
