I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Beam (Singapore) in Aug 2019
Interview
I initially had a screening call and got invited after to do an online test. This test was quite easy, focussing on some basic calculations and metrics relevant for Beam. No need to prepare. After the test I was invited for a f2f interview. Not knowing what to expect I prepared for a behavioral interview, with examples for relevant cases. I arrived and was immediately asked questions regarding hypotheses and cases. The interviewer was quite obvious someone with a heavy technical background, asking me to solve problems they are apparently dealing with. with no background information and preparation I found it difficult to understand where the interviewer was going with these questions, since he kept asking to give more metrics and trow extra hypotheses towards me. Afterwards I didn't receive any feedback and had to email myself to ask if I was though to next round. I think the focus of this young startup is understandably to recruit smart people, don't know if this is the way to go.. .
