I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Augusta Metro Federal Credit Union (Augusta, GA)
Interview
I put an application in after seeing a job post via Indeed. From there, I did a phone interview, which advanced me to an in-house group interview. Apparently it was supposed to be at a different branch, & I didn't find out until the first interview that if hired, I'd be working at the branch about a half hour away from me (I was told this was a rotating teller position, & Waynesboro was not mentioned at first). Nonetheless, it would have only been a minor inconvenience. During the first interview, one of the "higher-ups" went on a soap-box about student loans & her opinion about them or whatever--after she asked me about my credit & I said that I did have them out. That seemed to seal her opinion about me. I left with a bad taste in my mouth & didn't care for the company to call back until I did receive a call for a second interview. Not sure why I even pursued it as it was a waste of time & gas. They already made their pick, & because of my student loan debt it wasn't me. I was made to feel as if I had the job, which was misleading. Most interviewers do not phrase themselves in a way that makes the interviewee feel that they have the job unless they actually do. Nonetheless, I wrote a thank you note & promptly received a email response back saying "thanks, but no thanks." I politely asked for a critique of my interview(s) & haven't heard a word back.

Question 1
If on a plane / bus / train ride, how would you spend your free time?
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. As a small credit union, we need employees that are flexible enough to be able to work at any of our locations and have started stating that in our job postings.
Your review has helped us to realize that sometimes well-meaning advice can be taken as criticism. Thank you for your honest critique. We have hired many people with high debt loads and helped them to manage that debt.
I hope you have found the right employer for you.
