Not enough transparency in the interview process. Insufficient viewpoints represented in the cross-functional team panel interview. Follow-up after interview was not as promised.
There is no initial screening call with HR, so no time to ask questions of HR, or to get an overview of the anticipated interview process. The first interview is with the hiring manager. The next is with a cross-functional team for a culture fit panel interview. After that, I cannot say because I was not made aware or invited to participate. I was told after the panel interview, by the HR rep, that I would hear either way about next steps, and very soon, because the company prides itself on getting back to all candidates soon who have participated in the panel interviews. I never heard back.
