I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at America Needs You
Interview
I received an invitation for a phone interview about 1-2 weeks after I submitted a resume and cover letter. I was personally excited about the mission of the nonprofit's mission and work, but I felt the interviewer was not engaged in the conversation, and at times, they felt nervous from my end. Most of the interviews felt too procedural, which made me disengaged in the conversation. We discussed salary expectations at some point after diving into my experience, and it became clear from that point - they were not interested in talking further. They are looking for entry-level staff despite advertising as a manager-level role. I heard back from 1-2 days after, and they notified me they were not moving me forward in the process. I honestly was not surprised, and I'm somewhat glad I did not move forward in the process. If you have more than 3-5 years experience - I'd recommend looking somewhere else. Otherwise, if you're looking for an entry-level role - this may be a good place to start.

I applied online. I interviewed at America Needs You (New York, NY) in Jul 2020
Interview
I had a phone interview with a NY staff member shortly after submitting my resume. The interviewer was running late, and let me know beforehand which I appreciated. The call was around 20 minutes total and I was told I would hear back within the next week or so if I was moving forward in the application process. I never heard back from anyone.
