I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon Web Services (Sydney)
Interview
Kicked off with a tech phone screen—about an hour—then went into a loop with four interviews. The interviewers were nice, easy to chat with.
They rejected me in the end—no “local work experience.” Didn’t they see that on my resume from the jump? Probably picked someone with more miles on them. Could’ve been a higher-up manager shooting it down too—who knows? The interviewers even checked my LinkedIn after, so I thought we vibed. Still, the process was tight, and the team was cool.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
For tech questions—OS basics, troubleshooting for linux, networking, Kubernetes and DevOps flows—really zoned in on problem-solving and digging deep. Beyond that, it was almost all LP stories and a “Why AWS“.
4 rounds of interview
1- Technical Networking
2- Technical Operating Systems
3 & 4 were Managerial
From Technical aspect, just be strong with networking fundamentals and have a clear idea of how things actually work in networking.
For Operating Systems round, just know basics of OS and some commands (from either linux or Windows, whichever you are comfortable with)

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Amazon Web Services
Interview
It was a good process, from the start everyone very friendly and all transparent. It's a long process in which a lot of interviews are taken, so if you're going to take a process with Amazon, you have to be aware of that.
