I was contacted about an opportunity by a member of internal recruitment on LinkedIn. Following this I had: a phone call with the recruiter; a one hour video call with a Software Architect; a one hour on-site with two members of the technical staff; a final on-site interview with two more staff. Despite there being so many stages to the process and being given positive feedback after each stage, I was eventually told that they were looking for someone more senior for the particular role I interviewed for. However, given that they reached out to me for this role, I think this should have been determined sooner in the five week process. At this stage I was also told that I had essentially passed the interview process, so they would look for other suitable roles in the company for me, but I never heard back from the recruiter about this despite reaching out to get a conclusive answer.
