Unlike most of the interviews I had in Belgrade, that one was exceptionally bad. Their recruiter wrote me on Linkedin first, asking for the meeting. During the call, that person (half of my age) out-of-nothing played arrogant and unproffessional. She was literally saying nonsense like "it's a privilege to work here" etc.
Then, Altium's way to assess competency is a home assignment, a lengthy one. During the same call I pointed out that:
1) I have lots of public activity for a preliminary assessment of my skills and knowledge,
2) I would rather go for on-site interview, as their office is just a 10-minute drive from my place, and
3) I would like to talk to a tech person first, raise some questions to ensure that assignment is not a total waste of MY time.
Yet that particular HR person didn't care. No big deal, I wouldn't bother with a home assignment anyway.
Again, the overall experience was surreal. About the same time I got an offer from a big tech company in the same area, and those guys had manners and common sense. Altium did not.
