I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AlphaSights (New York, NY) in Jan 2016
Interview
First, I had a video recorded interview where I was asked a few questions:
1. Why Alphasights?
2. What does Alphasights do?
Very basic questions
Then I had a video interview with a recruiter:
1. What other jobs are you applying for?
2. What does AlphaSights do?
3. Why your college?
4. Why your major?
5. What skills do you hope to learn?
6. What experiences led you here?
7. Why shouldn't we hire you?
8. Definitely know the track - associate, manager, VP. What you do and don't do in those positions.
Finally, I went to AlphaSights where I had 2 interviews:
1. First guy came in and asked me to go over the Bread Process
2. Gave me 3 potential cases. I had to pick 2 and find 2 suitable consultants for each role in 15 minutes.
3. We then went out how I messed up and what I did well.
4. Had a fake phone call where I had to sell a potential advisor on the idea of working for Alphasights.
5. Second guy came in and we went over my successes and failures of the previous interviewer
6. I had a mock call with him as if he was a client and I had to sell him on the advisors that I had found in the last interview
7. Why AlphaSights?
8. Why college, why major?
9. Walk me through resume?
10. Basic questions that you can find on Glassdoor AlphaSights review
Interview process was ok, several stages and language test as it was a particular language speaking role, only downside really was very little feedback given at the end when not successful. When I asked for a feedback call as to why I wasn’t successful they didn’t answer my question and it was a 2 mins call saying that I was just unsuccessful.
