3 rounds of interviews first with the hr , followed by the HOD and lastly with the hr again. Overall the first hiring interview was smooth , the difficult one is with the HOD
I applied online. I interviewed at Aleph Labs (Singapore)
Interview
The interview was conducted onsite and lasted less than 30 minutes. The hiring manager interrupted me while I was presenting my work and rushed me through the final outcome/visuals. It would have been better to view them directly instead of me showing them in just a few scrolls. I feel that it was rude and a waste of my time.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about yourself, what was your previous role and your responsibilities, how large was your team, where do you see yourself in a few years, and could you present your portfolio?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Aleph Labs (Singapore) in Oct 2023
Interview
The HR process lacked professionalism and was disorganized. Following a phone screening, I was informed that Operation HR would contact me to arrange a Zoom interview. However, I received an email from the operation HR on a Saturday, proposing an interview on Sunday, which I couldn't accommodate. Despite my prompt reply, I didn't hear back until Monday, where I was accused of delayed response, which I refuted with evidence of my timely reply. Subsequently, there were last-minute cancellations and rescheduling due to sudden client meetings.
During the interview, the interviewer was 15 minutes late, and the session, lasted only 20 minutes, where I was also asked about technical developer knowledge on top of showing my portfolio. Overall, the experience was marred by poor communication from the HR side.
