Everything was great at first. I was going to be one of the few people they brought on from the outside as a manager. Great salary and benefits. I had a phone interview that went really well and then an in person interview. I walked in and told the staff who I was and they led me to a room where I filled out an application. I figured this was a formality. Then I was asked how long I saw myself working there which I felt like was an odd question. I asked if this was still for the manager position, to which they had no clue what I was talking about. They finally got ahold of the person who first interviewed me over the phone. He led me to the back and conducted a short interview, which also went REALLY well. It REALLY seemed like I was going to get the job, and he even gave me his cell phone number to reach him. He then told me he would call me later that day to bring me back in for a second in person interview with two other managers. Wow, I thought, this is amazing! No call came so I called back and I got a text saying he was in a meeting and that he would get back to me asap. A week passed and I heard NOTHING. I tried calling. Nothing. I texted him. Got a text back saying he was extremely busy. Several weeks have passed and I tried one more time to call/text. Nothing. I have since accepted another job, but I felt this was a very unprofessional way to treat a candidate.
