Interview starts with a 30 minute test which was 15 logic puzzles (?) and 5 hvac questions around 20 questions total. Hvac questions included drawing a ph diagram of the refrigeration cycle and one with subcooling and reheat, drawing a cycle on a psychrometric chart with cooling and reheat, drawing a cycle on psychrometric chart with return and supply mixing, and calculating sensible and total btu using the psychrometric chart. If you're in an AC-adjacent or not related industry memorize the equation for total btu, the equation for sensible btu, what a dcv system does and what is the benefit, the difference between vav and cav, the conversion from kW to BTUH. All of these were asked during discussion portion. Was told position was not technical during interview (?). One interviewer said he had to stop himself from asking an illegal question. Condescension. 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Addison (King of Prussia, PA) in Aug 2021
Interview
The interviews are done in two rounds of zoom calls, the first lasting 15-20 minutes and the second lasting 30-45 minutes. As an introvert, I was very nervous going into my first interview, but the hiring team made me feel valued and welcome! The description of the job was incredibly detailed and well presented. Questions were welcomed and always met with honest answers. It was great to see smiling faces and genuine care from my interviewers. Without them, I probably would have gone elsewhere. The people here are fantastic!!
I applied online. I interviewed at Addison (Houston, TX) in Jul 2016
Interview
After being contacted by agency they sent an email with a link to fill out an online application. On date of appointment, met with recruiter at agency location for 1 on 1 interview in a small private office setting. Very nice staff. Very engaged interviewer. Overall great experience.
