I was brought into an interview through a recruiter. The office is 1 room with about 5 desks, half of which were empty.
I met with the hiring manager and he gave me a long-winded explanation of the job, complete with diagrams on a white board, as if I was already in training. It seemed like he was really excited about it but from what I saw in the office it looked pretty dead in there.
Basically it's cold calling grocery stores and warehouses all day until you find someone who wants to buy a truckload of product from you. It's all inside sales with product sourcing involved. The hiring manager kept me there for an hour basically educating me about the ins and outs of the job and the industry. He asked me about my background and gave me a good idea of what was needed to be successful in this type of position. After the interview, I was e-mailed an online assessment to complete. After I completed it, I was told I would get an offer, but I took a position with another company.
