My interview experience at the Manchester Hilton for a teaching position was both comprehensive and rigorous. Had a two phase interview, a written exam followed by a face to face interview. The exam seemed geared to assess how you ‘deal’ with behaviour problems within the classroom with an odd IELTS writing task 1 thrown in for good measure. The face to face portion of the interview was equally bizarre. I was asked to take them through my CV, I was asked about my students pass rate. They will not offer the option to ask questions, so be sure to speak up and ask what you want.
