The recruiter reached out to me and set up teams meeting. She was bubbly and enthusiastic and thought I would be a great fit and invited me to meet with hiring manager and team lead. During this interview, I definitely felt a negative vibe. The heavy set team lead and such a cold stance and had to force a smile. She was not engaging at all. At the the manager had the ability to fake it more. They told me the next steps would be another interview with the Controller. I was just surprised when I received the rejection letter the very next morning. These 2 white ladies did not want a person of color added to their group. The recruiters feedback was the hiring manager said my answers didn’t make sense which is bs. AP is not rocket science, I’ve done every aspect of it and can speak to my knowledge. If you have in your mind who and what you want , of course that’s what you’re going to say. And they have some never for a position that paying over $10k lower than an experience employee’s worth.
