32*32=2^10=1024
1024+64=1088

Could also do 33^2-1=900+180+9-1=1088

Or (3^2)(11^2)-1=121*9-1=1089-1=1088

Or use base 35^2-4(34)-1=1225-136-1=1225-137=1088
