What is working from home like at TrueCar?

I have been at the company for a fair bit and I have seen quite a few changes over the years. I have always felt appreciated and valued as employee at this company. The pay & benefits are great and the flexibility to work from home is one of the super perks.

The industry the company is tied too can be vulnerable to global disruptions and part of that affects the company stock price.

Benefits and Time off. Remote work from home a few days a week.

Constant change in territories and Pay. Horrible commission plan. Managers are incompetent to help you when it comes to selling and your product. Overall dealerships have used TrueCar at some point and had a bad experience. You get slot of not interested”s and never again.

While I liked the culture at TrueCar, I would advise staying away from Data Engineering. The tech lead within DE is toxic and has massive ego issues. There were others before me who had suffered because of him. The managers will not stand up to him to protect you. You will be thrown under the bus if it means they're protected. I loved TrueCar genuinely and the people (both my colleagues and people from other teams). But it's my manager and the tech lead who were incredibly toxic. Do yourself a favor and avoid DE. Otherwise it's an alright company.
