How do you deal with the feeling that your entire professional output is meaningless? I’m watching my company ignore every single one of my user-centric findings. They pay me to conduct deep-dive interviews and usability tests, but at the end of the day, the CEO just goes with whatever gut feeling he had. It’s soul-crushing.

The work culture on my team is pretty bad. There is high burn out, lots of fighting, finger pointing, working 24/7. When I bring this up, the leaders mention that this is just how tech culture is. It is worse at other companies. I haven’t worked at another company so I feel like I can’t counter. What should I say?

I demand an answer immediately. If you’re accidentally copied on a thread, why do you REPLY ALL and ask to be removed? Walk us through your thought process and explain why you didn’t think a couple steps ahead. Pardon my aggression but it’s actually excitement @ finally remembering to ask this.

I was terminated and escorted out of my last job in the Healthcare IT industry without warning. It was due to reporting a few coworkers for violating HIPPA, and preventing a social engineering attempt in real time with security and fellow clinical systems analysts. Was informed that doing so was a terminable offense because it is not my responsibilty to contact our security team. Later found out that the Human Resources Department didn't approve of my termination and advised against it

What would you choose? Job 1: stay at legacy enterprise software giant in marketing director IC role with terrible boss but high base salary and remote? Lots of process, things move slowly, no mobility. Good work life balance, bad for mental health and feeling fulfilled at work. Been there 2 years. Job 2: join cloud native Saas company, similar role senior IC in marketing, much smaller team and number of employees, lower base salary but much higher equity, stock doing well? Boss seems nicer

Went into the L&T chairman comment instead, why is it that everyone is quick to jump to it was taken out of context, but then never wants to explain that context? There used to be a time where workers were taken care of when things were going well, don’t see that anymore except for at the tip top.
You really don't like your CEO, huh?
