How do people feel about remote work? I am about to take about 5% pay cut to take a 90% remote job vs an in-office 80% job. The flexibility and saving 2 hours a day is worth it.
I have a colleague who negotiated a huge raise just by showing a competing offer. I am tempted to do the same but I am worried it will ruin my relationship with my boss. Is this a bridge burner move?
I'm tired, depressed and exhausted from the continuous search for Junior job position. Parents are getting old and I feel like I'm dragging them down instead of supporting them. For the past year I have been looking for a job but met with either rejection or ghosting. I get freelancing jobs once in a while but they are not enough to pay the bills. So, if there is anyone that can help me get a job please don't hesitate. I'm in a dire situation right now.
What's your goal for the next five years? Mine is to increase my salary by 50% and I actually think it's possible.
I am thinking about asking for a performance review six months early. I have taken on two extra projects and I feel I am underpaid for my output. Is it too pushy to ask for more money before the annual cycle?
