Is 32 too old to have an enjoyable experience at a full-time? Unconventional background, ~14 yoe. Goal is MBB or PE (LMM)

Really just depends what you want to do. I almost did it but am very glad I didn’t. That’s a lot of 26-27 year olds and I’m done with the partying lifestyle. But plenty of 32 year olds are down. MBA isn’t really sufficient for PE, depends on your background.

I think it would still be quite difficult to get even that for PE. However, the rest of your goals seem completely reasonable (new network, chance at mbb). You are still essentially a traditional applicant if you start at 32, but right on the band of not being one.

I think you’ll be fine - I started mine at 25 and still found the whole social scene a bit ridiculous but also there were plenty of people in their 30s having a good time. I would more do research as to whether the people with your background have been able to effectively pivot. I think it’s way harder if you go through with it and don’t get the outcome you’re looking for

Culture wise, how was it for those starting in their 30s?
