Thoughts on BCG Platinion?
Anybody else have a harder time getting a job after leaving McKinsey than before you joined? Exited the firm over a year and a half ago and I have not been able to secure an offer ANYWHERE, despite having many interviews.
Opportunity to take a job but can only stay a month and a half before my start date for another job - should I take it?
Would you take a $20k bump to work in person 5 days/week? (Remote Fridays in the summer) & there’s a chance the company will eventually go back to hybrid. you also get the flexibility on ur work hours so could do a 7am-3pm schedule to avoid traffic
What was your salary progression after college and what do you think got you to your success?
I’m 33 and starting to feel like I’m aging out of consulting. This is a young man’s game and I now have 3 kids and am tired. Time to plot my exit to industry 🙂.
Seems like a great group of people. From what I heard, you’re just treated as part of the regular BCG project team, not like a second class citizen. However, I declined an offer there since the big con is you can’t become an equity partner. Because of this, to me, it’s kind of the worst of both worlds. You get paid less and also don’t have the partner carrot as a motivator but are still part of the project team working the same brutal hours. So ultimately, you get the normal BCG experience (with a little less comp) and still solid exits but have a lower ceiling internally.
Thanks, that’s helpful

Not any more. It’s changing right now thru a bit of a reorg of digital capabilities. Path to partner was part of announcement. Details being ironed out thru Q4.
I like it 🤷🏼♂️
