At Deloitte, does performance bonus = AIP, or are they 2 diff things? New here
Anybody else have a harder time getting a job after leaving McKinsey than before you joined? Exited the firm over a year and a half ago and I have not been able to secure an offer ANYWHERE, despite having many interviews.
Left McK as an EM for a role that offered $325k, Iām only 3 months out and competitor of company I joined wants to poach me and give 450k. I personally been enjoying my new org and itās been such little time, however the jump in comp is substantial. How would you handle this?
Didnāt get promoted and thinking of leaving Deloitte for the next level at Guidehouse. Itās a title bump so I would get a raise, but Iām trying to weigh the opportunity cost of going to a ālower tierā firm known for more niche services. Has anyone else been in this situation and what did you choose? Would this limit my exit opps?
The key to being promoted (beyond capability) is to be likeable. To be likeable, you need to be relatable. To be relatable, you need to have a wide range of hobbies and interests and appeal to familiarity - eg have kids, watch sports, play golf, etc.
