Brant Industries does its part to keep newspaper delivery boys busy. Operating through White Birch Paper and its subsidiaries, the company produces about 1.3 million tons of newsprint and directory paper annually. It also manufactures uncoated specialty paper and paperboard with recycled content. Brant operates four pulp and paper mills, three in Canada and one in the US; its lineup is distributed in North America and to some overseas markets. Brant has a saw mill, which produces lumber and wood chips, and 30,000 acres of forestland. The family-run company is owned by CEO Peter Brant, and COO Christopher Brant. In early 2010 White Birch filed for bankruptcy in the US and Canada and subsequently sought a buyer.
