Description Telmex Internacional keeps people connected in South America. The Mexican holding company (known as Telint) provides a variety of telecommunications services such as fixed and wireless voice and data communications, data and video transmission, Internet access, and cable and satellite television in Latin America and the US. Established in 2007, Telint operates through subsidiaries in Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Ecuador. Most of its revenue comes from Brazil (led by Embratel Participações S.A.). Billionaire owner Carlos "Slim" Helú raised his stake in the company to about 94% through an acquisition by holding company Carso Global Telecom in 2010.
