I explained one use case where-in we had used Kafka. The interviewer said, this is not the right use case and I should explain another one. As an interviewer you can debate why Kafka is not the right choice in the overall use case but saying the use case is invalid is outright rude. It was not a fictitious use case, it was something we used in the product and it definitely had some weight.
