Which semiconductor company has the best work culture in terms of work life balance.. I miss the time when we used to have evenings free. Post covid it feels like we are working the entire day

2.8 LPA → 27 LPA. Just signed my first switch. 5 years ago, I joined HCLTech as a Manual Tester. Since then, my journey took me through Data Analytics, Data Engineering, and eventually GenAI. Once I got into GenAI, I started interviewing seriously. There were rejections, lessons, and plenty of learning along the way. Thanks to everyone who trusted me with opportunities beyond testing. A lot of late nights, self-doubt, learning, and growth. Worth it.

Resigned from LTIMindtree in March 2026 with LWD in May. Despite being a top performer for 2 years and consistently receiving 4/4 ratings, my final rating was reduced to 1/4 after resignation, which impacted my variable pay eligibility. Disappointing experience, especially when my managers acknowledged my contributions and performance throughout the year.
This may be controversial, but I’ve seen cases where Indian leadership at the top can harm a healthy work environment through micromanagement, unrealistic expectations, and poor work-life balance, pushing teams beyond their roles while cutting costs. After our UK management handed control to a new director in India, the team has increasingly been made to feel like underperformers despite consistent effort. I don't know if anyone else has experienced this!
Recently had some unexpected free time, so I built BeyondSalary: beyond-salary.vercel.app/ Most software engineering relocation discussions focus only on salary, but very few compare: • actual savings after tax • cost of living • healthcare • layoffs & notice periods • vacation policies • air quality • work-life balance Would genuinely love feedback from people working across these countries. Also exploring senior/staff frontend opportunities.
Isn’t intel one of those?
Intel has a mixed crowd. Depends on the group and product like you work for. The products doing well in industry guarantees hikes and job security but comes with a downside of hectic schedules
Maxlinear Bangalore used to have better work life balance. Now I doubt as most of the old management has left.
Semiconductor people even do any work 😂?
It's the people in the west doing R&D , you guys in India don't do shit.
Heard Nvidia is good in terms of work life balance.
None Intel one of better ones others are far worst as compared to intel
You can give it a try in TSMC, Qualcomm, Samsung ...
@senior physical design People don't know things but have to type to look cool 😂
