Reports to: Lead Pastor

Hours: 20 hours per week can be scheduled with flexibility; however, this job requires that you are available from 7:45AM-12:30PM on Sunday mornings, special holiday services or events, and for weekly rehearsal. In addition, staff & worship design meetings will be coordinated with Lead Pastor.

Salary Range: $30-35k

Position Objective: To lead Christ-centered worship at a growing seeker-friendly church with a heart for connecting unchurched Northern Virginia to Christ. To identify, build, and encourage a volunteer team of musicians to support that effort.

2. Commitment to the mission, vision, and worship philosophy of Vine Church.

3. Demonstrates excellence as a worship leader in both vocals and musical performance.

4. Demonstrates relational skills and an ability to develop, grow and lead teams of volunteers.

5. Demonstrates an ability to supervise volunteers.

Responsibilities:

1. Build, direct, train, schedule, and supervise the necessary teams to carry out the worship areas of Vine Church to include Worship Band, Communion

Stewards, Greeters, & Tech Team.

2. Collaborate with the pastors to plan the corporate worship services with prayer, conceptual forethought, theological accuracy, and musical appropriateness. Ensure that all the musical and technical aspects and song selection for the worship service advance the theme for the day.

3. Develop volunteers to support a growing worship ministry. Provide clear invitation, communication, ministry planning, implementation, and consistency of expectation & feedback.

4. Oversee media preparation & presentation of weekly worship slides.

5. Work with Dir. of Communications to ensure appropriate equipment is in good working order and collaborate on presentation, sound, and lighting enhancements.

6. Build contacts and relationships with local musicians, studios, and clubs for both evangelistic and staffing purposes.

7. Set annual goals for your part of the worship ministry that are in line with our vision and then evaluate how those goals were attained or modified during the year.

8. Connect with Vine guests and follow-up with those interested in music ministry.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
