We are recruiting for a Transport Supervisor/Planner at Greyhound. Our business is built on our people. We employ over 200 people at our Crag Avenue facility and all of our profits are re-invested in the company.

This role will report in to the Transport Manager and will join Planning Team with the responsibility of scheduling and the associated fleet movements.

The teams will operate extended hours across 5days a week and will require the Customer Support Administrator to operate a flexible working pattern in order to be available to the team as required.

The Successful Candidate will:

Ensure planning for effective utilisation of resources in line with collections.
Effective fleet maintenance, compliance and management reporting.
Liaise with Transport Manager and Operations Team to update on fleet health as necessary.
Monitor collection timings and driver locations to ensure the smooth operation of service.
Be a point of contact for drivers on the road in relation to routes and vehicle issues.
Liaise with the Transport Manager and Maintenance team on off-road vehicles ensuring accurate planning.
Adhere to budgets in relation to costs as advised by the Transport Manager.
Provide first class customer service, leading by example and assist in communicating standards to the driver team.
Ensure driver hours are in compliance with Working Time Act and taking action to amend as necessary.
Tachograph compliance, performance and identify where gaps are.
Ensure accuracy of driver clock information in relation to working hours on the Company Time and Attendance System feeding information across to payroll
Candidate to work in tandem with EHS and Compliance to ensure adherence.
Cross training to cover holidays, day off, training around scheduling of collection routes
Knowledge on waste management reporting
