Our client is a leading credit institution based in the West of Ireland and are looking for an experienced credit manager to lead out their team. An exciting opportunity to join a continuously growing company where you will develop a team whilst in a senior management position reporting directly to the head of operations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the credit management team, offering guidance, mentorship and performance oversight.
• Develop credit policies, procedures and strategies. Monitor credit risk exposure, identifying potential areas of concern and suggest appropriate action.
• Supervise the credit assessment process for new and existing clients, evaluating credit worthiness and credit limits.
• Review cases and supplemental customer documentation to ensure effective operational management and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
• Analyze credit data and financial statements to make informed credit decisions and assess potential risks.
• Prepare and present credit related reports to senior management whilst collaborating with sales and finance team to approve credit terms for potential clients.

Requirements:

• Qualified financial advisor.
• Proven experience as a credit manager or similar credit role within financial services.
• Demonstrated experience with credit analysis, risk assessment, credit scoring and an ability to manage and lead a team.
• Proficiency in financial analysis, credit evaluation and credit decision making.
• Proven track record of effective engagement with stakeholders.
• Knowledge of regulations and compliance related to credit management capability of utilizing credit software.
