I worked at Worldpay full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The pay for what you do is decent, unless your agency, especially for the job you do. there are decent benefits that come with working there, points and rewards schemes for work and non related work.

    Cons

Job is a customer service yet they are doing everything possible to make that impossible for you. to start the system they are now moving everyone onto still doesnt work properly, causes lots of issues, goes down or doesnt work making your life hell as they tell you not to let the customers know and to lie to them. Different departments wont take responsibility for their own mistakes and then just comes down to you to deal with it as best as you can. They ask you to offer products at a 40% rate but then you find yourself just blagging customers heads about stuff they neither want nor need just because you have to. Not meant to put customers on hold and if you do have to go back every min, how is this even helpful to you. Very few managers know enough to help you and that's even if they care, most try and fob you off to another one. Since the "merger" with FIS lots of things have changed, lots of belt tightening and moral is unsure as people are wary of jobs being lost despite them saying "at the moment there are no plans to make cuts". My advice for this job, works for a short term stop gap as the pay is good but don't be fooled by their hype of promotion as there is not much to progress to at this site.

    Advice to Management

give more support to staff and engage with them when introducing these ridiculous ideas you have about what to do on a call. great idea in theory... practice..not! they just act and don't think, maybe if they put the people who were good at their jobs in better positions rather than whose face fits or who can brown nose the most things might run a bit better.

    Doesn't Recommend

    I worked at Worldpay full-time

    Pros

    - Company brand name is good to have on your CV, but the overall experience of being there wasn't pleasant. - Location of office

    Cons

    - Office overcrowded; nearly always queueing for toilets, rushing to get (hot) desks - E-commerce Pricing and FP&A teams are very cliquey, non-welcoming and arrogant; this is exuded by the senior management and flows down to the longer term employees - Company is very tight; have to pay for your own welcoming and leaving lunches, the xmas party was sold out leaving people who didn't reply within a couple of hours to not have spaces available! - Outdated computer systems and constant IT issues
