I worked at Virgin America full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Virgin America had great employee engagement activities. The HQ work environment had little down time--always working on multiple deadlines.

    Cons

Understaffed, caused excessive workload. The annual employee goal assessment was designed to measure/manage long-term projects however, most projects were very short and not on the radar when the annual goals were established.

I have been working at Virgin America full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Lean HQ makes for entrepreneurial spirit and great collaboration. Each teammates work counts and has a visible impact across the organization. Very casual atmosphere, from the way people dress to interactions with each other and highest levels of leadership. A brand that resonates - teammates are proud to work for Virgin and it can be felt across the organization.

    Cons

Payed time-off and telecomuting policies need updating to be competitive in Bay Area. 2 weeks yearly PTO for HQ teammates is well below what peers at other Bay Area companies get - work life balance would be much better if it was not for that.

I have been working at Virgin America full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Virgin America is fun, vibrant, and energetic. The leaders of the company allow you to be creative in solving problems. The people who work at the company are great. The group is passionate about the company mission and each person is vital in achieving those goals.

    Cons

The company is rapidly growing. Wish some of the benefits could be a little more robust and creative (more vacation days to take advantage of the flight benefits, on-site child care, etc.).
