Pros

Nice and talented coworkers, good equipment

Cons

Communication is practically non existent in this company. When there’s a problem everyone tends to have a “blame someone else” or blame another team/department attitude. The ability to take ownership and fix problems is fundamental to startups, this is one of the reasons this one is doing so badly..it is the worst in upper management in my experience. The heads of departments are particularly bad for it. Extreme lack of transparency. Throughout the year people have been let go of suddenly and with no real explanation to the company or teams. This has left numerous departments scrambling due to having one less set of hands without notice or a proper handoff. It could also be seen when they recently RIFed a large amount of the company. When you look at who they kept and who they let go of, it’s clear they didn’t really know what they were doing. Unfortunately this will all come to a head in the near future when things inevitably break down. Not to mention how there was no warning or even a mention of a potential RIF in certain departments, so people might have a chance to prepare for it. Instead they were instantly removed from slack and laptops disabled after they were told without even a chance to say goodbye to their coworkers. Appalling. The upper management is completely timeworn and archaic. A huge appeal and a necessity for start ups is the idea that everyone takes ownership and is responsible for the success of the company. This is what leads to successful companies as everyone feels they are important and needed. Instead here they keep hiring people with bad attitudes and superiority complexes which leads to the same problems over and over again.. I will echo what a lot of these reviews say.. there are many talented people working at this company but unfortunately this is overshadowed by the egos of the executive team.

Pros

Some wonderfully talented, warm, diverse people.

Cons

- Interview pitch differed wildly from the job role in question - Management did not listen to concerns, or seemed to feign interest during - Teams were siloed, even teams that clearly need to be integrated to function - Inept HR team who simply went through the motions and expressed zero passion towards the people. - Values that carry no meaning
