I worked at Urban Outfitters part-time

    Pros

Fun to work for, great discount on clothes, perfect part-time job for college.

    Cons

Sometimes tough to get good feedback about your work. The staff teams tend to get quite clicky.

I have been working at Urban Outfitters part-time for more than a year

    Pros

The company cares about its employees, you get great discounts, and you get a great amount of hours.

    Cons

Six hour shifts only give you two 10 minute breaks, no lunch break. Starting pay is low, even for myself who already had 4 years of retail management and sales experience upon being hired.

I worked at Urban Outfitters part-time for more than a year

    Pros

The discount is great Clothes are cute Usually coworkers are nice

    Cons

The pay is barely above minimum wage, so it would be good for a high schooler who needs a little money? but they don't even hire until you're 18. Management didn't really allow for much growth, I had a lot of experience but was never allowed to use the POS system The company makes a huge profit so they can definitely afford a higher wage for the sales associates The stylist for DFW was incredibly rude and treated the sales associates like trash, it was a well known fact no one liked her.

I worked at Urban Outfitters part-time for less than a year

    Pros

I loved my coworkers and the laid-back atmosphere. The work was simple, routine, and you get a great discount. The company also really encourages employees to garner opportunities and wants them to move up in the company!

    Cons

Man, the turnover is quick here. This fact is probably exacerbated because my store was in a college town, but it was hard to get close to people when there were new employees cycling in and out. Also, I worked here when they still implemented "on-call" shifts. Those were a major source of stress for me. I was a college student, but I can't imagine what I would have done if I had a kid I needed to figure out child-care for.

I have been working at Urban Outfitters part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Coworkers are great, theres room to grow, employee discount is great, awesome store managers.

    Cons

Inconsistent scheduling: goes from 35 hours a week to 10 hours a week, a lot is expected of you for very low pay, high-level management visits a lot but doesn't care about employees. Management expects employees to be on top of loss prevention, yet there often aren't enough employees to maintain the store while doing this.
