      Pros

Learned alot--many people working here are culinary students/ graduates. Also had some degree of freedom in creating recipes. Really enjoyed working with some of the other people here and talking with students.

      Cons

Not much room for growth or advancement. Not much work when school is not in session.

      Pros

Great benefits (403b,medical, dental, PTO). USD is ranked as one of the most beautiful campuses in the country. There are nice people on campus, but not many in Auxiliary Services.

      Cons

No room for growth. The Auxiliary Services Department kept me at part time to avoid paying me full benefits even through I worked Monday-Friday 9-5. No appreciation for their employees and most of the people that work in this department are miserable and unhappy.

      Pros

Great work schedule and academic setting

      Cons

No benefits, since it's a part-time temp job, so there is no room for growth

      Pros

The work environment was really inviting and the culture was fun and exciting. There was always work to be done which made the work day go by quickly.

      Cons

I would say that the only con would be that there really wasn't much room for growth.

At least the campus is pretty

      Pros

12% employer-paid retirement contribution. Most of the faculty and staff are very welcoming and collegial. Tuition waiver (a.k.a. tuition remission) is available so employees may take classes at no/reduced cost.

      Cons

Almost imperceptible diversity. Astoundingly low salaries compared to similar positions within higher education fields in San Diego. No promotional opportunities or room for growth. Incompetent personnel management coupled with ineffectual administrative leadership at some levels. Not much in the way of campus-wide process streamlining -- too many fiefdoms. Conservative cultural and political influences make their way onto this campus a little more than they should.
