            Pros

Fun to meet people and show them your city. Great to learn the ins-and-outs of your area.

            Cons

Paycuts and a glitchy app make this job much more trouble than it's worth. I made less than minimum wage, even when driving smart and working hard. Regular pay cuts (and rising Uber fees) over the last year have made this basically unprofitable as a full-time job. Uber now takes 1/4 of every fair you work. Also, if you don't work the app exactly right, you will lose hours of revenue simply due to the way the Uber Partner app is set up. Rather than training drivers how to work the right way, the app corals you into driving just the way Uber wants you to. For example, if you decide to take more than 20 minutes off, your seniority as far as how often you are able to get rides plummets, to the point where you're pretty much done for the day. On top of these issues, the Partner App is glitchy, and tend to send you to the wrong address. Riders are unaware what driver ratings do, so over time 4 star reviews add up and disqualify you from Uber promotions that allow you to make minimum wage or more. And recently Uber has allowed their drivers to accept tips, without announcing this to anyone. Leaving it up to drivers to tell their fares they can tip, which some people see as tacky, sometimes resulting in 4 star reviews. As things are going now, Uber drivers seem to be low on Uber's list of priorities.

              Cons

The pay is less than expected on some occasions and some establishments have long wait times

                You determine your own schedule!

                Cons

Low pay. Paid less than minimum wage. Maybe 20% of customers pay a tip. Routed to resturaunts that are 17-20 minutes from you location and are not compensated and the pay for the trip is likely under 4 bucks! The UBER GPS SYSTEM SUCKS, it’s inaccurate a lot of the time AND routes you the longest way possible!

                      Senior Associate

How do you interview for a position when you are under-qualified based on seniority but not based on skills? I currently serve as a senior associate for a reputable consulting firm, and I have an interview for an associate director position. However, I am just shy of the minimum YOE requirement included on the job application and relatively young (though I meet all of the other requirements). Any advice on convincing the hiring manager I am ready for a mid-level role?

                      EY

Had 4 behavioral interviews for a position last week. Last Friday (which was the last of the four interviews), the interviewer spent most of the interview selling me on the job and didn't ask me any questions. She ended the interview by saying she thinks I am confident and would be a great fit for the role. I took this as a good sign but giving it's 2023 you never truly know. Has anyone ever had an interviewer do something similar and not gotten the job?

Did i just shoot my foot today?? I had an interview and the HR asked me whats my current salary and how much im expecting in the role im applying for. I told her im on above 50s right now and Im looking for mid 60s to 70s. She said perfect! Did I undersell my self? I have 17 yrs of experience in retail, commercial ant mortgage banking. I well prepared how to answer this question but didnt happened as planned. The HR talks so fast that i got caught off guard.
